City School District's Bond Rating Reportedly "Downgraded" In Poughkeepsie POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- A bond credit agency has lowered the city school district's bond rating, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.Moody's Investors Service downgraded the Poughkeepsie School District's bond credit rating to Baa1 from A3, but increased its rating to A3 from A2, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal. Around $29 million of debt is affected by these ratings, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal. Bond ratings affect borrowing costs in a district, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal. Hendrick Hudson Graduate Maia Silber Named Rhodes Scholar MONTROSE, N.Y. --  A 2013 graduate of Hendrick Hudson High School has been named a 2017 Rhodes Scholar. Maia Silber, a senior at Harvard University, is one of only 32 Americans chosen of nearly 2,500 applicants from around the world, according to the announcement. Arlington BOE Holds Veterans Tax Exemption Hearing LAGRANGEVILLE, N.Y. --The Arlington Board of Education will vote on Tuesday whether veteran homeowners will get a tax break. Arlington voters were surveyed Nov. 1-27 about the issue and a public hearing will be held from 7-8 p.m., according to the board's website.
