Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Covid-19: CT Hospitalizations At Highest Level Since Mid-May; Latest Data By County, Community The number of those hospitalized in Connecticut with COVID-19 is now at the highest levels since mid-May, according to new data covering Thanksgiving Eve Day and Thanksgiving Day. A total of 1,017 patients are currently hospitalized for COVID in Connecticut. That's an increase of 49. A total of 71,327 tests were administered on Wednesday, Nov. 25, and Thursday, Nov. 26, with 3,429 coming back positive (4.81 percent positivity rate). There have been 35 additional deaths. Herson Gonzalez, age 19, of Shirley, was driving a 2004 Honda Pilot westbound east of exit 21 when his vehicle sideswiped a 2020 Toyota Corolla at around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 26 in Hempstead, state police said. ID Released For Ex-Police Officer Killed In Three-Vehicle Fairfield County Crash A former police officer has been identified as the man killed in a three-vehicle crash in Fairfield County that left two others seriously injured. The crash happened in Easton at approximately  5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, on Route 59 between Maple and Judd roads. Two of the vehicles were traveling south and one was traveling north, said Easton Police Chief Richard Doyle.
