Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

21-Year-Old Killed, Teen Injured In Shooting At Long Island Park One person was killed and another injured in a shooting at a Long Island park. It happened in Freeport at Martin Luther King Jr. Park on Stevens Street on Saturday, Nov. 28 at around 4:30 p.m. Upon police arrival, officers observed two men, 21 and 19 years of age, who were the victims of gunshot wounds.  The 21-year-old was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by a staff physician.  The 19-year-old was also taken to an area hospital where he is currently listed in stable condition.  Identities have not yet been released. The disturbance call came from the Burlington Coat Factory located at 345 Rockaway Turnpike on Friday, Nov. 27 at 5:30 p.m. in North Lawrence. Tech Entrepreneur Tony Hsieh, 46, Dies From Injuries In CT House Fire Tony Hsieh, the retired CEO of online shoe and clothing retailer Zappos, died at age 46 from injuries sustained in a fire at a Connecticut home. The blaze broke out on Wednesday, Nov. 18 in New London,  and Hsieh died from his injuries on Friday, Nov. 27 at Bridgeport Hospital with his family by his side, according to KLAS 8 News Now in Las Vegas, where Zappos' headquarters is located. Covid-19: Rockland School Testing Sites Announced The Rockland County Department of Health has partnered with Good Samaritan Hospital to provide one week of COVID-19 testing for school districts within the county's Yellow Zone. I-95 Stretch Reopens After Crash This story has been updated. A stretch of I-95 in Fairfield County has reopened after a serious two-vehicle crash caused its closure. The closure was northbound in Westport between Sherwood Island/Route 476 (Exit 18) and Route 1/Center Street (Exit 19) on Saturday, Nov. 28.
