Disabled Woman Charged With Threatening Sandy Hook Parent Blames Hoax NEWTOWN, Conn. — A Florida woman charged with sending death threats to the father of a boy killed in the 2012 school shootings in Sandy Hook blamed her actions on being angry from looking at government hoax websites, according to the Sun-Sentinel. Lucy Richards, a 57-year-old from Brandon, said this in a Fort Lauderdale court hearing Monday, where she pleaded not guilty on four federal felony charges of transmitting threats in interstate commerce, the Sun-Sentinel said. Red Cross Helps Family After Bridgeport Fire BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — The Red Cross is helping a Bridgeport family whose house had a fire Sunday, according to the Connecticut Post. The residents — one adult and two kids — were not injured in the kitchen blaze at 66 Poplar St. just past 2 p.m., which was swiftly knocked out by fire personnel, according to the report.
