Blood Drive At Putnam Hospital Fill Critical Need For Holidays CARMEL, N.Y. --  Blood donations become critically low in December when supplies are down due to holidays, weather, illness and school vacations, according to the American Red Cross.  In order to fill the gap, Putnam Hospital Center will run a blood drive Thursday, Dec. 22 for the public and employees of the hospital. Happy Birthday Bergenfield's Bob Guccione BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- Happy birthday to Bergenfield native Bob Guccione, who would have turned 86 on Saturday.  The founder of the adult magazine Penthouse in 1965, he was born Robert Charles Joseph Edward Sabatini "Bob" Guccione on Dec. 17, 1930. He died on Oct. 20, 2010 when he was 79. Guccione was raised in Bergenfield and was the son of Anthony and Nina Guccione. Greenwich Kids Prove 'Anyone Can Learn To Code' With Bruce Museum Program GREENWICH, Conn. -- Over 1,000 kids, double from last year, will learn computer programming through an "Hour of Code" the Bruce Museum is offering this month at local schools. The museum started running the global program three years ago to promote the message that "anyone can learn how to code." The Bruce Museum reached 550 students in six schools in 2015.
