Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

First Snowfall Projections, Timing Released For Big Storm Taking Aim On Region The first snowfall projections and timing for a potentially major winter storm have been released as the coldest temperatures of the season grip the region. The storm moving west to east is expected to develop late Sunday, Jan. 31, and linger into Tuesday, Feb. 2, with most of the region expected to see between 4 and 8 inches of snowfall, with the potential for 6 to 12 inches. Woman Killed In Rollover Crash On Sunrise Highway A woman was killed in a rollover night crash overnight on Long Island. It happened around 8:10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, in West Islip. Nicole Valerius, age 27, was driving a 2004 Acura MDX on the westbound Sunrise Highway Service Road, east of Deer Park Avenue, when she lost control of the vehicle, which crashed and rolled, Suffolk County Police said. Valerius was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where she was pronounced dead. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. One Killed, One Critically Injured In Crash On Residential Long Island Street An investigation is underway after a fatal overnight motor-vehicle crash on a residential Long Island street. It happened just after 4 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27 in Westbury.
