Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

New Black Bear Sighting Reported On Northern Westchester Roadway A busy Northern Westchester roadway may want to consider a name change after a black bear was spotted there making the rounds for the second time in three weeks. The New Castle Police Department issued an alert on Saturday, Aug. 28 after the brand-new sighting on Roaring Brook Road near the Chappaqua Crossing. Man Critically Injured After Car Crashes Into Truck On Long Island Expressway A man was seriously injured when a car crashed into a truck overnight on the Long Island Expressway, according to authorities. It happened around 1:35 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28 in Dix Hills. Koray Kurulgan, age 30, was operating a 2005 MINI Cooper eastbound on the expressway, near Exit 52, when the vehicle crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer that was parked on the right shoulder, Suffolk County Police said. Man, Woman Suffer Critical Injuries After SUV Crashes Into Tree On Long Island Three people were hospitalized, two with serious injuries, after a single-vehicle Long Island crash. It happened around 3:40 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26 in North Bellport. Michael C. Body Of 20-Year-Old Drowning Victim Located In CT Swimming Area The body of a drowning victim has been recovered in northern Connecticut near the Massachusetts border. At about 3:10 on Thursday, Aug. 26, Connecticut State Police from Troop C in Tolland, received a report of a possible drowning in the area of 21 Lyons Rd., in Stafford Springs. Long Island Teen Critically Injured In Head-On Crash A teenager suffered critical injuries in a head-on crash overnight on a busy Long Island roadway. It happened in Manorville at around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25. Juan Carlos Osorio Tejada, age 34, of Rocky Point, was driving a 2016 BMW southbound on Moriches-Middle Island Road, just north of Sunrise Highway (Route 27), Suffolk County Police said. After Henri: Three Possible Tropical Systems Churning In Atlantic Basin The National Hurricane Center says it's watching three areas of what it calls "disturbed weather" in the Atlantic Basin that could develop into tropical systems in the coming days.
