Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Covid-19: CT Positive Testing Rate Soars To Highest Level Since June The positivity rate for COVID-19 testing in Connecticut jumped to 2.4 percent in the latest data reported on Tuesday, Oct. 13. That's the highest it's been since June. Of 13,398 tests on Monday, Oct. 12, 320 were positive (for the 2.4 percent positivity rate). 26-Year-Old Killed In Single-Vehicle Hudson Valley Crash A 26-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. The crash happened just after 8:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, in Rockland County on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in the town of Orangetown. An investigation revealed that a 2010 Hyundai Elantra, being operated Anthonelli Ramos, of New York City, was traveling north on the PIP and was exiting at exit 9E at the time of the crash, police said. Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Crash On Busy Long Island Roadway A pedestrian was seriously injured in an overnight crash on a busy Long Island roadway. The crash happened around 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12 in Port Jefferson Station. A man was driving a 2015 Mitsubishi sedan southbound on Route 112, north of Wilson Street, when the vehicle struck the male pedestrian, Suffolk County Police said. The pedestrian was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
