In Dutchess County, police in Red Hook received a call  at 2:15 p.m. on Monday, March 28, for a welfare check of a woman passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle on Morry Road at the intersection of Hewlett Road. This Nassau County Chef Voted Long Island's Best The man who runs the kitchen of a popular seafood restaurant was voted the best chef on Long Island, according to Bethpage Best of Long Island. Chef Stephen Rosenbluth, who works at Anchor Down Seafood Bar & Grill in Merrick, was voted Long Island's best chef in 2022, the site said. According to the announcement, Rosenbluth has worked at the eatery since 2014 and has more than 20 years of experience working at numerous restaurants. Person Fatally Struck By Metro-North Train In Fairfield County, Police Say An investigation is underway after an individual was fatally struck by a Metro-North Train in Fairfield County. Police in the Town of Fairfield reported at about 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30 that officers were at the scene near 165 Commerce Drive. Fairfield Police said a male, whose age was not known, was struck and killed by the train. His identity has not been yet released.  Fairfield Police are assisting the MTA Police Department with the investigation, authorities said. This is a developing story. Expect Delays: Lane Closure Announced For Stretch Of Hutchinson River Parkway Officials are alerting motorists about a planned lane closure on the Hutchinson River Parkway. The New York State Department of Transportation said the right northbound lane of the parkway is set to close in Westchester County between Exit 8 (Webster Avenue) in New Rochelle and Exit 11 (State Route 125) in Scarsdale due to construction. The closure will take place on between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, and Friday, April 1, officials said.
