An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

The director is looking for extras, bike riders, and automobiles for his latest movie, "The Black Klansman," which has been filming in Ossining. The film is looking for pre-1973 automobiles and will pay $250 a day. Casting agents are looking for people to be extras who look straight out of the 1970s. Ex-Putnam DA Adam Levy Seeks Another $50K In Defamation Suit Vs. Sheriff The legal battle between former Putnam District Attorney Adam Levy and Putnam County Sheriff Don Smith is not over yet. Levy, the son of TV's Judge Judy, is seeking another $50,000 from Smith, claiming he violated the terms of their settlement agreement. Smith originally settled his lawsuit with Levy after Smith apologized for saying Levy publicly interfered in his investigation of Levy's personal trainer Alexander Hossu for raping a 13-year-old girl and agreed to pay him $150,000. Arlington Admirals Marching Band Repeats As State Champs LAGRANGEVILLE, N.Y. -- The Arlington High School Marching Band once again brought home first place.For the second year in a row, the band won the Governor's Cup in the National Class from the New York State Field Band Conference Championship in Syracuse last week. BioBus Visits Elmsford School ELMSFORD, N.Y. --Students at the Alice E. Grady School recently got to learn about science...on the bus. The BioBus visited the school last Friday thanks to Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, as part of its Day For Doing Good service initiative. The mobile bus is equipped with a high-powered microscope and staffed by scientists. Students experienced hands-on, standards-aligned lab sessions, which were offered throughout the morning. Mildred Giuffrida, 98, Millwood Mildred T. Giuffrida was born in Brooklyn to John and Antoinette Lotierzo on Aug. 14, 1919 and died on Oct. 30. She was one of twelve children. Giuffrida and her husband, Dr. Joseph Giuffrida were married on August 15, 1943. They continued to live in Brooklyn where they raised their five children until 1976, when they moved to Millwood. Their home was described as always being open to family and friends. She was known for her unending hospitality and generosity. She was known for ger warm smile and genuine kindness. Edward Brundage, 91, Ossining Native, World War II Veteran OSSINING, N.Y. -- Edward William Brundage, 91, passed away peacefully on Oct. 23. Brundage was born in Ossining to Edward and Lucy Brundage. He was a proud member of the United Staes Marine Corps who served during World War II and was on the Inaugural Honor Flight. Brundage was a devoted Catholic and a past Grand Knight of the St. William Council Knights of Columbus.
