TRUMBULL, Conn. -- An attorney from Trumbull waived his right to be indicted and pleaded guilty Wednesday to a conspiracy charge involving insurance fraud. updated: FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — The forecast just got a worse for the snow expected to hit Fairfield County by Thursday night and continue into Friday, according to the National Weather Service. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for 10 p.m. Thursday until 10 a.m. Friday for southern Connecticut. Bridge Repair Will Mean Six-Month Street Closure In Bridgeport
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A project to replace the deteriorating 80-year-old Arctic Street bridge with a new structure will disrupt traffic for six months, the city of Bridgeport announced. The project will temporarily close Arctic Street from Helen Street to Seaview Avenue, beginning Monday, Jan. 9. The bridge carries Arctic Street over Pembroke Lakes. Darien Post Road Liquor Store Broken Into Twice In Recent Weeks
DARIEN, Conn. -- A Darien liquor store can't get a break. Frate's Liquor on Post Road was broken into twice in recent weeks, according to the Darien Times. In both instances, a man reportedly gained entry by using a rock to break a window, the report said. A drawer of the cash register and keyboard were stolen, according to the Darien Times.
