AEDs Donated To New Canaan Fire Dept., St. Aloysius May Help Save Lives
NORWALK, Conn. -- The New Canaan Fire Department and St. Aloysius Church each recently received an automated external defibrillator, a measure that can help save someone who suffers a cardiac arrest. The AEDs from Norwalk Hospital were gifts of Thomas Ayoub, M.D., Chief of Medical Staff, and his wife Christine Dombrowski, a certified nurse midwife. Their son Peter Ayoub is a volunteer firefighter with the New Canaan Fire Department. A dog left on the front doorstep at Hi Tor Animal Care Center in Pomona is, well, a new dog, thanks to a clean-shaven appearance he received from his caregivers. The 2-year-old, a Havanese mix, Harry, was found looking "disheveled" and "matted" by volunteers of Paws Crossed animal rescue organization in Elmsford.
