Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Five Rescued From Capsized Boat In Long Island Sound Five people were rescued after their boat overturned in the Long Island Sound. The incident happened Tuesday, July 7 at about 4:30 p.m. off the coast of Crab Meadow Beach in Fort Salonga in Suffolk County. Alert Issued For Missing 15-Year-Old Long Island Girl A 15-year-old Long Island girl has gone missing and authorities are asking the public's help in locating her. Bryanna Vasquez went missing from the Mercy First facility in Syosset on Tuesday, July 7 at around 3:30 a.m., Nassau County Police said. She is 5-foot-6, 140 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. Her clothing description and destination are unknown. Detectives request anyone with information regarding her whereabouts call the Missing Persons Squad at (516) 573-7347 or 911. Suspect At Large After 29-Year-Old Fatally Stabbed Outside Area Park In Front Of Crowd A suspect is at large after a man was fatally stabbed in front of a crowd in broad daylight at an area park. The incident happened on Tuesday, July 7 at 1015 a.m. near Pershing Avenue Park in the City of Poughkeepsie. Covid-19: Travelers From Three More States Added To NY/NJ/CT Quarantine List Travelers from three more states with high positive testing rates for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have now been added to the joint quarantine order for out-of-state travelers to New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The newly-added states as of Tuesday, July 7 are Delaware, Kansas and Oklahoma, bringing the total number of states on the list to 19. Boaters, Kayaker Rescued In Separate Long Island Sound Incidents Three stranded boaters and a kayaker were rescued in two separate Long Island Sound incidents off the coast of Fairfield County. Worker Suffers Injuries After Falling 25 Feet Into Foundation At Long Island Construction Site A construction worker was rescued after falling about 25 feet into a large foundation at a Long Island construction site. It happened around 11:15 a.m. on Monday, July 6 in Glen Head at 162 Linden Lane.
