Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Covid-19: Here's Latest CT Positive-Test Rate, New Rundown Of Cases By Communities, Counties The latest positive rate of those being tested for COVID-19 covering the last four days in Connecticut is 6.05 percent. The new data released late Monday afternoon, Dec. 28 covers Thursday, Dec. 24 through Sunday, Dec. 27. A total of 139,889 tests were administered during that time, with 8,457 coming back positive (6.05 percent). A total of 1,219 patients are currently hospitalized statewide, an increase of 19. Covid-19: Long Island Sees New Increase In Cases With 2,000-Plus; Latest Breakdown By County Long Island saw a new increase in the number of new COVID-19 infections as well as the positive-test rate, according to information released by state health officials on Monday, Dec. 28. There were 1,037 new COVID-19 cases in Suffolk and 999 in Nassau on Sunday, Dec. 27, as Long Island saw a total of 2,036 new cases. Chances Increase For Strong Storm With Gusty Winds To Usher In New Year There is now an increasing likelihood of a potentially powerful storm system sweeping through the region from New Year's Eve into New Year's Day. Small Plane Crashes In Hudson Valley A small plane crashed late Sunday afternoon, Dec. 27 in the Hudson Valley. The plane went down just short of a runway in Dutchess County at Sky Acres Airport in LaGrange just before 3:30 p.m. The pilot and single occupant of the Cessna aircraft was able to remove herself from the plane with no injuries, according to authorities. Trio Nabbed For Long Island Gas Station Robberies Three men who allegedly robbed two Long Island gas stations on Christmas Day have been apprehended, police announced. Devonte Burgess and Shaquawn Humphrey, both of Wyandanch, entered the Shell gas station, located at 170 Bay Shore Road in North Babylon at approximately 10:40 a.m. Friday, Dec. 25, Suffolk County Police said. ID Released For Woman Killed In Wrong-Way Northern Westchester Crash The identity has been released of a woman killed in a wrong-way crash involving another driver allegedly impaired by alcohol in Northern Westchester. The crash happened around 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23 on Route 9 in the area of Main Street in Peekskill. An initial investigation revealed a black 2018 Audi Q7 operated by Mark E.
