Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

ID Released Of 57-Year-Old Killed In Hit-Run Long Island Crash A 57-year-old Long Island man killed in a hit-and-run crash has been identified by police. The crash happened shortly before 10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21, in Hempstead. The victim, now identified as Jose Diego-Gesteira, of New Hyde Park, was riding a motorcycle southbound on Baldwin Road when he was involved in a crash with a 2020 Kia that was turning left onto Lawson Street, according to Nassau County Police.  Diego-Gesteira was pronounced dead at the scene, said police. Covid-19: Outbreak Of 31 Cases Hits Upstate NY Sleepaway Summer Camp A COVID-19 outbreak at an upstate New York summer sleepaway camp has resulted in 31 confirmed positive cases with many campers returning home. Camp Pontiac is located in Copake, New York, in Columbia County, in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains.  It's a seven-week camp for boys and girls aged 7 to 16 from all over the country. The 31 cases are all in campers between 7 and 11 years old, an age group now ineligible to get the COVID vaccine. Man Critically Injured Falling Off Ladder At Long Island Home A man was critically injured after falling off a ladder of a Long Island home. The incident happened Tuesday, July 20 at approximately 11:45 a.m. in the hamlet of West Hills in the Town of Huntington. A 55-year-old man was cleaning windows on an extension ladder at Green Meadow Lane when he fell, Suffolk County Police said.
