Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

43 Violations Issued During SLA Inspection Of 3 Businesses In Suffolk A total of 43 violations were issued during an overnight New York State Liquor Authority inspection on Long Island. It was conducted from 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1 until midnight Friday, Sept. 2 at three businesses in Huntington and Huntington Station. The State Liquor Authority issued 41 violations and the Town of Huntington Fire Marshal issued two violations. Tropical Storm Forms In Atlantic Basin Expected To Become First Hurricane Of Season A tropical storm has just formed in the Atlantic Basin and forecasters say it has the potential to become the first hurricane of the 2022 season. The National Hurricane Center said on Thursday, Sept. 1 that a tropical depression had strengthened into what has been named Tropical Storm Danielle. September Starts With Sunshine Before Chance For Separate Rounds Of Labor Day Weekend Storms The passage of a cold front has led to a ridge of high pressure that will last into the start of the weekend, before the potential for separate rounds of storms around Labor Day. Fairfield Woman Admits Embezzling $1.5 Million A Connection woman has admitted to embezzling approximately $1.5 million from her employer. Former Sales Chief Of NY Mortgage Lender Sentenced For $8.9M Fraud Scheme The former co-owner and executive at a New York mortgage lender has been sentenced for an $8.9 million fraud scheme, federal authorities announced. Long Island resident Edward E. Bohm, age 44, of Smithtown, formerly the president of Sales and part-owner of mortgage lender Vanguard Funding, LLC, based in Garden City, was sentenced on Tuesday, Aug. 30 at the federal courthouse in Central Islip to two years in prison. 25-Year-Old Killed After Being Ejected, Run Over By 2 Vehicles On Southern State In Hempstead Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash on Long Island. It happened around 12:50 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27 on the Southern State Parkway just east of Exit 13 in the town of Hempstead. Khalil Jones, age 25, of East Meadow, was driving his 2003 Suzuki motorcycle on the westbound side when the vehicle left the roadway and struck the center median, according to New York State Police.
