Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Covid-19: Long Island Sees Positivity Rate Uptick For Fourth Day In Row For the fourth straight day, Long Island has seen an uptick in COVID-19 test positivity rate. Here are the day-by-day infection rates: Tuesday, Sept. 1: 0.8 percent Wednesday, Sept. 2: 1.1 percent Thursday, Sept. 3: 1.4 percent Friday, Sept. 4: 1.5 percent Statewide, of the 99,761 test results reported to New York State on Friday, 801, or 0.80 percent, were positive. Woman Hospitalized After Car Crashes Off Merritt Parkway A woman was hospitalized after her car crashed off the Merritt Parkway in Fairfield County overnight. The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 in Norwalk. When firefighters arrived with hospital paramedics and state police, the car, a Hyundai sedan, was found on its side, in a foot of water, between the parkway exit 40A ramp and the 1 Glover Avenue Condos, according to the Norwalk Fire Department. Covid-19: Alert Issued For Increase In Cases In Stamford Officials in Stamford are alerting residents about a potential spike in COVID-19 cases. The City of Stamford’s Department of Health said it was notified that a COVID-19 early warning wastewater system detected a potential increase in cases of COVID-19 in Stamford. Man Struck By Train In Norwalk A person was struck by a train overnight in Fairfield County. The incident happened just before 12:50 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5 in Norwalk at the Catherine Street railroad crossing. The man was found lying alongside the tracks with serious injuries to his right arm and right leg, the Norwalk Fire Department said. He was semiconscious when firefighters and paramedics placed him into the ambulance for transport to Norwalk Hospital. There has been no word on his condition. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Covid-19: Third Positive Case Confirmed At Exposure Site In Northern Westchester A second priest has tested positive for COVID-19 at a church in Westchester where many people were potentially exposed over four days of services. There have now been three confirmed cases at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, located at 431 Bedford Road in Pleasantville: two priests and one church staffer. Suspect At Large After Woman Shot Outside Apartment In Fairfield County A suspect is on the loose after a woman was shot outside an apartment in Fairfield County. The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3 in Stratford. That's when officers from the Stratford Police Department responded to 90 Birch Drive to investigate a report of a shooting. Covid-19: Poll Reveals Percentage Of NYers Who Are Comfortable Going To Restaurants, Bars, Gyms New York residents are reluctant to return to several indoor activities, including indoor dining and going to the gym, according to a brand-new poll.
