Whooping Cough Case Reported At Sussex County High School A member of the High Point Regional High School community in Sussex has been diagnosed with pertussis, more commonly known as whooping cough, Superintendent Scott Ripley said in a letter to parents and staff on Thursday, Feb. 15. Ripley did not say if it was a student or staffer who was diagnosed with the highly contagious disease but urged parents to keep their children home from school if they come down with a cold followed by a cough. Train Cars Overturn After Derailment: Linden PD A 90+ tank railcar train derailed in Linden on the morning of Thursday, Feb. 15, police said. At 7 a.m., police responded to reports of a train derailment near Tremley Point Road and found an industrial tank railcar stopped on the tracks near the Conrail Garden State Secondary line at Road to Grasselli, officers said. Business Partner Dies By Suicide In Jersey City Mall: Officials A 45-year-old man hanged himself at the Hudson Mall in Jersey City on Tuesday, Feb. 13, authorities said.
