Shelter-In-Place Lifted At Union Catholic High School: Police Police in Fanwood have lifted a shelter-in-place order at Union Catholic High School on the afternoon of Monday, Jan. 22, officers said on Facebook. The order was caused by police activity at the high school on Martine Avenue in Scotch Plains, police said. All schools in Scotch Plains and Fanwood were under the order as a precaution, police said. Officers did not specify what the police activity was.

NJ Driver's Fake License Plates To Evade Tolls Didn't Get Him Far: Police A 33-year-old driver from Bergen County who was stopped in Morris County found a novel to avoid paying tolls, authorities there said. Needless to say, it wasn't exactly legal. On Friday, Jan. 19, police in Washington Township said they stopped a vehicle on Route 46 for displaying fictitious license plates, then found even more fake tags in the vehicle, officers said in a Facebook post.  The driver, an Englewood Cliffs resident who police did not identify, apparently had been using them to avoid paying tolls at various locations, police said.
