Monroe Library Schedules Guided Meditation Session MONROE, Conn. -- The Edith Wheeler Memorial Library in Monroe will hold a guided meditation session on Monday, March 14.Learn to free your mind of the stresses of everyday life with the ancient practice of meditation. The session will be led by yoga instructor (with a concentration in meditation) Elaina Campopiano. Please bring a yoga mat and wool blanket or cushion. No registration is necessary. Brown Middle School faculty nominates nine students for demonstrating positive character and leadership traits. These “Most Valuable People” are treated to a pizza party in the principal’s office and receive an MVP certificate and t-shirt. East Rutherford Fourth-Graders Participate In Ecosystem Project EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Fourth-graders from McKenzie School in East Rutherford constructed replicas of land and water ecosystems, and learned other domain-specific words for ecosystems, such as biomes.In order to understand the components of each ecosystem, the students first studied the structure: community, population and habitat. Winners of the contest will be announced at a ceremony at the library on Monday, May 16, at 6:30 p.m. Up to three prizes will be awarded: $1,000 for first prize, $750 for second and $500 for third.
