Lauren Steele was 36 years old when she was reported missing after her last contact with family on Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, Pennsylvania State Police said.
On Jan. 28, 2026, Steele was located and is safe, State Police said. Additional details about where she was found or the circumstances surrounding her recovery were not released.

Thomas Medlin, 15, of Saint James left the Stony Brook School at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, and ran to the Stony Brook Train Station, according to police.
