Boy With Autism, Father Reunited By Paramus Police After Jarring 2 Hours Police officers in Paramus reunited a 13-year-old boy with autism and his father after the boy wandered off from the family home Sunday morning, Oct. 27, authorities said. The 5'9" Black male was wearing a black tracksuit and red and white sneakers when he wandered off near Split Rock Road around 8:15 a.m., Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti said.  The department deployed its drone unit and updated its social media accounts to notify the public. Woman Struck, Seriously Injured By Car Crossing Hackensack Intersection A 74-year-old woman was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle Saturday night, Oct. 26 in Hackensack, police said. The woman was crossing the street at the intersection of Hudson and Moonachie Road when she was struck around 9:45 p.m., Police Chief Michael Antista said. The female suffered serious bodily injury and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and was cooperating with investigators. The incident is under investigation.

Stella was struck by the vehicle in Hackensack on Oct. 13 and taken to Oradell Animal Hospital, where she was treated for broken ribs and a fractured pelvis.  Stella has been transferred to the Bergen County Animal Shelter in Teterboro, where officials said she needs between four and six more weeks of recovery time before she can be adopted out.
