19-Year-Old CT Woman Killed In Crash While Driving Home From Work, Police Say A 19-year-old Connecticut woman died after crashing her car into a tree while driving home from work. Police received multiple reports of a rollover crash in New Haven County in the area of 154 Research Parkway in Meriden at about 3 a.m. on Saturday, March 19. Woman Seriously Injured In Carjacking At CT Shopping Center A woman was seriously injured in a carjacking at a Connecticut shopping center. Officers responded to a report of a carjacking at the Hamden Plaza, located at 2100 Dixwell Ave., at about 3 p.m. on Friday, March 18. The Hamden Police Department said a 74-year-old woman was putting purchases in her car when she was thrown to the ground, and three suspects drove away in her car. Police Search For Man Who Set Vehicle On Fire In West Babylon Police have asked the public for help locating a man who set a vehicle on fire on Long Island. A man set a parked vehicle on fire at 730 South Railroad Ave. in West Babylon at about 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. Bridgeport Heroin Distributor Sentenced To Federal Prison A 34-year-old Fairfield County man was sentenced to years in federal prison for distributing heroin. Ray Fontanez, of Bridgeport, was sentenced on Monday, March 14, to 60 months in prison followed by four years of supervised release, according to Leonard Boyle, United States attorney for the District of Connecticut.
