FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Lorraine Schoen, of Fairfield, died Monday, Oct. 12. She was 88.
She is survived by husband, John F. Burnett Jr.
Schoen was bornFeb. 24, 1927, in Danbury and spent her entire youth in Danbury. Her father was George J. Schoen, the first police chief in Danbury's history, and her mother was Helena McCarthy. She graduated from Danbury High School in 1944, where she was a cheerleader and basketball player.
Schoen had two brothers and a sister who predeceased her.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. --Angela Silano Ranucci, of Bridgeport, died Saturday, Oct. 10, at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She was 82.
Ranucci was born March 16, 1933, in Flumeri, Province of Avellino, Italy, the daughter of Ralph and Maria Befara Silano.
Ranucci was predeceased by her son, Victor Ranucci, Jr., and three sisters, Carmela Giacobbe, Giuseppina Giacobbe and Angela Tarantino.
She was a hard-working woman in and outside the home ho helped the sick.
