Few Venture Out As Snow Piles Up In Ridgefield RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Ridgefield's downtown area is steeped in heaps of snow, with some drifts already higher than the 10 to 12 inches expected before the storm ends Thursday evening. The entire state remains under a Winter Storm Warning until 6 p.m., with heavy snow in the forecast. Most businesses, offices, schools and stores are closed. Connecticut State Police from Troop G in Bridgeport made the arrest with assistance from a Wilton police officer and K9 officer, State Police said.
