Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Long Island Woman Drowns In Neighbor's Backyard Pool Police are investigating the drowning death of a Long Island woman in her neighbor's pool. The incident happened in Suffolk County on Wednesday, June 24 at about 6:10 p.m. in Fort Salonga. Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct officers responded to Truxton Lane after a resident called 911 reporting a woman floating in his backyard pool.  When officers arrived, they found Carol-Jean Werkstell unresponsive in the water. Werkstell, 76, also of Truxton Lane, was transported to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown where she was pronounced dead.

Man Killed After Being Struck By Jeep On Long Island Roadway A 41-year-old man walking on a Long Island roadway was killed after being struck by a Jeep. The incident happened just after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 24 in Selden. The pedestrian was walking in the roadway on Route 25, west of Highview Drive, when he was struck by an eastbound 2004 Jeep, Suffolk County Police said.
