Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

The closure was southbound in Hopewell Junction between Route 29/Carpenter Road and Route 52. Man Killed After Being Struck By Car Near Busy Long Island Intersection A 42-year-old man was killed after being struck by a vehicle near a busy Long Island intersection overnight. It happened on Monday, Sept. 7 at 9:20 p.m. in Bethpage. While attempting to cross Hempstead Turnpike from the north side to the south side, in the vicinity of Stewart Avenue, the man was struck by a 2018 Jaguar traveling westbound on Hempstead Turnpike, Nassau County Police said.  As a result of the collision, the pedestrian suffered multiple trauma injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:21 p.m., police said. Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Child In Area A 55-year-old area man has been accused of sexually abusing a child, state police said. The charge comes after state police said a tip led to an investigation that determined Orange County resident John Suchomel, of Monroe, sexually abused the child under the age of 13 in the village of Philmont. On Friday, Sept. 4, State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested Suchomel and charged him with first-degree sexual abuse, a Class D felony.
