Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Covid-19: Hudson Valley Sees Uptick In Positive Testing Rate; Latest County Totals The Hudson Valley saw an uptick in the positivity rate for COVID-19 testing, according to newly released data on Monday, Nov. 2. The positive testing rate in all focus areas under the New York State's Micro-Cluster strategy is 3.50 percent, and outside the focus zone areas is 1.48 percent. Within the focus areas, 10,503 test results were reported Sunday, Nov. 1, yielding 368 positives. The crash occurred on the westbound side around 8:15 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2 in Suffolk County. Wind Advisory: Gusts Of Up To 55 MPH Could Cause Power Outages The passage of a cold front is bringing Arctic air and strong winds with gusts up to 55 miles per hour that could cause power outages. A Wind Advisory is in effect for the entire region until 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2. Winds are out of the northwest of about 20 to 25 miles per hour with gusts of 40 to 55 mph. Covid-19: Long Island HS Closes For 10 Days Due To Exposure A Long Island high school will be closed for the next 10 days due to COVID-19 exposure. Due to the high number of instructional staff that were quarantined by the department of health last week, Shoreham-Wading River High School will be closed for in-person learning through Wednesday, Nov. 11, the district announced. Distance learning will be in effect for all high school students. The high school will re-open for in-person learning on Thursday, Nov. 12, the district said.

Covid-19: Northern Westchester HS Extends Closure After Cases Linked To Social Event A high school in Northern Westchester has extended its closure for in-person learning after several cases of COVID-19 linked to a social event. Several Residences Burst Into Flames After Possible Explosion At Long Island Home A possible explosion at a Long Island home ignited a fire that quickly spread to adjacent residences. At around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 in Meadowmere Park, located in Lawrence, authorities received a report of a house fire with an explosion at 3 South St. Upon arrival by emergency responders, the residence was fully engulfed in flames, with two adjacent homes, at 1 South Street and 5 South Street, on fire as well, according to authorities.
