Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man, Woman Nabbed For Violent Robbery At Long Island 7-Eleven A man and woman were apprehended after a violent robbery at a Long Island 7-Eleven. Police responded to a 911 call for a man with a knife at the store located at 287 Jericho Turnpike in Floral Park just before 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16. Upon arrival, Floral Park Police officers were informed that an unknown man entered the store and went behind the counter. Police Search For Woman Who Fled Crash With Serious Injury At Long Island Intersection Police are searching for a woman they say fled the scene of a crash at a Long Island intersection overnight during which one driver was seriously injured. It happened Sunday, Jan. 17 at approximately 10:30 p.m. in Port Jefferson Station. Long Island Man, 33, Killed In Two-Vehicle Sagtikos Parkway Crash One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on the Sagtikos Parkway. Darius Eley, age 21, of Islip, was traveling southbound, in the right lane, around 9:40 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15, at approximately 9:39 pm, when his vehicle, a 2010 Nissan Altima, was struck by a 1995 Nissan 240SX driven by Jaime Coriano, age 33, of East Patchogue, state police said. The collision caused both vehicles to leave the roadway and crash into the trees on the right shoulder, said state police. Alert Issued For Missing Long Island Man With Residences In Both Nassau, Suffolk A Long Island man has gone missing and authorities are asking the public's help in locating him. The Southampton Town Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for the man who has residences in both Hampton Bays and Massapequa. William Woodworth, age 58, was last heard from on Sunday, Jan. 17 at approximately 8:30 a.m. His vehicle was located at his Hampton Bays residence and police believe he may have gone to Shinnecock Bay. Fairfield County Woman Arrested For Impersonating Officer, Fleeing Police At Capitol Checkpoint A Connecticut woman has been accused of impersonating a police officer at a Capitol security checkpoint put in place for the Presidential Inauguration. At approximately 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16, United States Capitol Police officers stopped the woman at First Street and Columbus Circle, NE, at the checkpoint. $1 Million Powerball Ticket Sold In Hudson Valley There was no winner in the $640 million Powerball jackpot for the drawing held on Saturday, Jan. 16, but 16 players won at least $1 million by matching all the white numbers, with one of the winning tickets sold in New York, in the Hudson Valley.
