Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Fairfield County Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash A Fairfield County man was killed in an overnight crash on Route 8 in New Haven County. It happened just before 11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, in Derby, according to state police. Jonathan Perez, age 36, of Bridgeport, was traveling northbound at the Exit 18 off-ramp when his 2021 Hyundai Sonata left the roadway at a high rate of speed and struck a tree, said police. The vehicle sustained significant damage, said police. The crash is under investigation.  Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to call Troop I at 203-393-4200.

Here Are Areas Expected To See Accumulating Snowfall From New Storm System Areas in which accumulating snowfall is expected have been identified for a quick-moving new storm system that will sweep through the region. The time frame for the storm is from early Monday afternoon into early Monday evening, Feb. 22. An inch or so of snowfall is possible north of I-287 in New York and the Merritt Parkway in Connecticut and Massachusetts before a changeover to rain. (See the first image above.)
