Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Suspect Nabbed In Fatal Westchester Shooting A suspect has been nabbed in a fatal shooting that happened overnight in Westchester. Just before 9 p.m. on Friday, March 5, police officers responded to 157 Warburton Ave. in Yonkers on a report of a shooting incident. Upon arrival officers located a male victim in the first-floor hallway down on the floor in a lifeless state with an apparent gunshot wound to the head, the Yonkers Police Department said. Suspect Nabbed For Long Island Bank Robbery A suspect has been nabbed for a bank robbery that happened nearly two years ago on Long Island. The suspect entered Apple Bank for Savings, located in Lindenhurst at 151 East Sunrise Highway, at 4:05 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019, and approached the teller and presented a note demanding cash, Suffolk County Police said. Dog, Cat Rescued From Burning Long Island Home A dog and cat were rescued after a fire broke out at a Long Island house. Two Suffolk County Police officers, Sergio Rivera and James Galanos, entered the burning house on Oak Street in Central Islip at around 3:10 p.m. Friday, March 5. Long Island Deli Forced To Close After SLA Inspection A Long Island deli was forced to close after an inspection led by the State Liquor Authority. The inspection was conducted at M&B Deli and Grocery on Broadway in Amityville on Friday, March 5 at around 8:40 p.m. The Town of Babylon Quality of Life Task Force issued 15 summons for combined building, fire, and code violations to the owner/manager. Teen Found Dead On Long Island A homicide investigation is underway after a teen was found dead on Long Island. The victim was found deceased in Cow Meadow Park Thursday, March 4 at 5:30 p.m. in Freeport with an apparent gunshot wound. Woman Killed In Two-Vehicle Long Island Crash A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash that happened overnight at a Long Island intersection.
