Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Recall Issued For 266,000 Ram Pickup Trucks The manufacturer of Ram pickup trucks is recalling more than 260,000 vehicles in North America because side airbags can explode without warning. Stellantis, formerly Fiat Chrysler, said on Friday, Aug. 13, that an investigation discovered certain vehicles may be equipped with airbag inflators that were contaminated by moisture during the supplier’s manufacturing process. Woman Killed, Six Seriously Injured After Car Crashes Into Tree, CT State Police Say A woman was killed and six other people suffered serious injures in a single-vehicle crash in Connecticut. It happened just before 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13 in New Haven County. The vehicle involved, a Honda Accord, was traveling northbound on Route 15 near Exit 58 in Woodbridge, when the vehicle veered into the right shoulder before striking a tree, according to state police. ID Released For 28-Year-Old Killed In Long Island Crash The identity has been released of a 28-year-old motorcyclist killed in an overnight Long Island crash. The crash happened at 8:50 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 12, in South Hempstead. According to detectives, a 2019 white Acura sedan traveling westbound on Village Avenue was struck by a 2009 Gold Honda motorcycle traveling north on Grand Avenue, Nassau County Police said. Covid-19: CDC Adds Seven Destinations To 'Very High Risk' Category For Travel The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has added seven destinations to its COVID-19 Level 4 “very high” risk category for travel. The CDC's parameters define the "very high" risk category as having more than 500 cases per 100,000 residents in the last four weeks. Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Long Island Crash An investigation is underway following an overnight Long Island crash in which a pedestrian was seriously injured. It happened just before 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10 in West Babylon. Carissa Sanchez, 45, of Brooklyn, was crossing Straight Path eastbound, between 12 Street and 13 Street, when she was struck by a northbound 1994 Ford Tempo, driven by a 26-year-old Brentwood woman, Suffolk County Police said.
