Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man In SUV Accused Of Exposing Himself In Front Of Boy Near Long Island School A suspect is at large after allegedly exposing himself to a child near a Long Island elementary school. The incident happened Monday, Sept. 20 at about 2:50 p.m. in Merrick. ID Released For Man Struck, Killed By Car On Long Island Roadway The identity has been released of a man who was killed after being struck by a car on a Long Island roadway. The incident happened around 10 p.m., Monday, Sept. 13, in East Meadow. A 34-year-old man was driving a 2000 Honda westbound on Hempstead Turnpike in the vicinity of Merrick Avenue and struck the man walking on the roadway,  Nassau County Police said. The man, now identified as Rolando Lopez, age 35, of East Meadow, suffered severe head trauma and was pronounced dead, police said. The driver remained at the scene.  The investigation is ongoing.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20 in Freeport. An 18-year-old man was operating a 2015 Subaru eastbound on Mill Road when the vehicle struck the 40-year-old man in the vicinity of Hanse Avenue, Nassau County Police said. The man suffered severe trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released. The driver remained at the scene. The vehicle was impounded. The investigation is ongoing. Two Killed In Overnight Hit-Run Crash, Connecticut State Police Say An investigation is underway after a double-fatal hit-and-run crash in Connecticut overnight. It happened around 4:05 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 19 in Hartford County, near Exit 27 on I-91 in Wethersfield.
