Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Emmy Award-Winning TV Anchor From New York Dies At 53 A popular television personality from New York has died at the age of 53. Jovita Moore was an anchor at WSB-TV, Channel 2, an ABC-affiliated station in Atlanta. She had been diagnosed with incurable brain cancer after experiencing symptoms of disorientation and forgetfulness in April. Moore died Thursday night, Oct. 28 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children, Shelby and Joshua, stepdaughter Lauren, and her mother, Yvonne. Moore's co-anchor, Justin Farmer, informed WSB viewers of the tragic news on Friday morning, Oct. 29. Not Over Yet: Second Round Of Soaking Rain Will Sweep Through Region Heading Into Halloween It's been a stormy stretch of weather in the days leading up to Halloween. New Storm System With Heavy Downpours, Strong Wind Gusts Could Cause Power Outages A new storm system will bring more soaking rain and damaging wind gusts to the region. The time frame for storm activity is after nightfall on Friday, Oct. 29 into early Saturday evening, Oct. 30. Friday will be cloudy throughout the day with the high temperature in the mid 50s. Man Shot, Killed In Garage Of Long Island Home Police are investigating the shooting death of a man that occurred at a Long Island home. It happened around 11:55 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27 in Huntington Station. A group of people were in the garage of the home at 57 Murdock St. when another group of people, at least one of whom was armed with a gun, walked up the driveway, Suffolk County Police said. Suspect At Large After Fatal Shooting Of 18-Year-Old In Front Of Long Island Residence An investigation is underway after an 18-year-old was fatally shot in front of a Log Island residence overnight. Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct officers responded to a home in Mastic Beach on the 200 block of Bayview Drive after a 911 caller reported a man had been shot at approximately 9:10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26.
