Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man Killed In Crash At Suffolk County Intersection An investigation is underway after a man was killed in an overnight crash at a Long Island intersection. It happened around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, in Medford. The man was crossing North Ocean Avenue on foot at the intersection of Masonic Avenue when he was struck by a southbound 2003 Honda Civic, Suffolk County Police said. The man, who has not yet been identified by police, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue where he was pronounced dead, according to police. Icy Roadways Lead To School Closures, Delayed Starts, Crashes Light freezing rain that began to fall in the pre-dawn hours on Wednesday, Jan. 5 has resulted in numerous crashes in the region as well as delayed school openings and some closures. New Winter Storm Could Bring Up To 6 Inches Of Snowfall To Region A potentially major winter storm could bring up to a half-foot of snowfall to much of the Northeast. The timeframe for the storm is overnight Thursday, Jan. 6, into Friday, Jan. 7. Covid-19: Stratford School District Announces Closure A school district in Fairfield County will be closed on Monday, Jan. 3, and Tuesday, Jan. 4, as a result of COVID-related staffing challenges. Woman Who Went Missing In Hampshire County Located A New England woman who went missing has been located. Massachusetts State Police issued a Silver Alert for 67-year-old Glynis Lanzetta, of Enfield, New Hampshire, who was last seen Saturday afternoon, Jan. 1 driving a green 2015 Subaru Forester with the NH plate 3927494 on Route 9 in the area of West Street in Hadley, heading in the direction of Northampton.
