Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Suspect Jumps Over Counter During Brazen Bank Robbery In Suffolk, Police Say A suspect is on the loose after a brazen midday Long Island bank robbery. The man entered TD Bank in East Farmingdale, located at 90 Broadhollow Road, at approximately 12:35 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, jumped over the counter, and demanded cash from a teller, Suffolk County Police said. Police Investigating Overnight Shooting In Fairfield County Police are investigating an overnight shooting that left a man hospitalized in Fairfield County.  It happened around 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22 in Shelton. After officers arrived at the scene, the 28-year-old victim was taken to an area hospital for injuries sustained in the shooting as detectives processed the scene, Shelton Police said. Nanny In Suffolk County Nabbed For Stealing $15K Worth Of Items From Employer, Police Say A Long Island nanny has been accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of items from her employer, police announced. Amparo Hoyos Garcia, age 69, of Patchogue, who worked as a nanny for a family on Grassy Pond Drive in Smithtown, stole more than $15,000 worth of jewelry from the residence between Thursday, Dec. 22 and Wednesday, Jan. 19. Following an investigation by Fourth Squad detectives, Garcia was arrested on Wednesday and charged with third-degree grand larceny.  She was scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday.
