Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

ID Released For Beachgoer Who Died In Apparent Drowning At Smith Point County Park In Shirley The identity has been released of a beachgoer who died in an apparent drowning on Long Island. The incident happened just before 4 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Outer Beach at Smith Point County Park in Shirley when good Samaritans pulled the unresponsive man from the water.  The man was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead. Stretch Of Northern Westchester Roadway To Be Closed For Months A monthslong closure has been announced for a stretch of a roadway in Northern Westchester County. The New York State Department of Transportation advised motorists that Route 116 in North Salem will be closed to traffic between Baxter Road/Keeler Road and Titicus Road/Peach Lake Road. The closure will be from Monday, July 15, through Monday, Sept.16, to facilitate a culvert replacement.  Motorists should follow the posted detour as an alternate.
