Suffolk County DA Candidate Pushes Back Against Claims Of Sexual Assault As Teen: Report Suffolk County District Attorney candidate Ricardo Arroyo says he did not know the Boston Public Schools had investigated him twice as a teenager for suspected sexual assaults. He has also denied any wrongdoing. Arroyo, age 34, was the subject of a Boston Globe article this week that uncovered the investigations into the Democratic candidate in 2005 and 2007. We Know Who Killed Claire Gravel In Beverly In 1986, Essex County DA Claims The Essex County District Attorney announced on Wednesday that investigators believe they have solved the killing of 20-year-old college student Claire Gravel, a cold case that has stumped police for 36 years. John Carey, 63, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence at MCI-Concord, will be charged with the death of Gravel in the coming days, the Essex County District Attorney said on Wednesday, Aug. 24. Former Revere Man Stole $2.5 Million In Covid-19 Relief Money: Feds A 34-year-old former Revere man stole $2.5 million in federal Covid-19 relief funds, the U.S. Attorney's Office said on Tuesday, Aug. 23. Vinicius Santana, 34, of Boca Raton, Florida, was charged with wire fraud and unlawful money transactions, the federal prosecutor's office said. Lufthansa Flight From Newark Makes Emergency Landing In Boston: Report A flight out of Newark made an emergency landing at Logan Airport on Monday night after the pilot saw smoke in the cockpit, NBC Boston reports. Lufthansa Flight 403 landed just before 10:30 p.m. after the pilot declared an emergency. The plane diverted to Boston after a "technical irregularity" caused smoke in the plane, the report said. Trooper Dives To Safety As Fleeing Woman Barrels Through Barricade: Police A Massachusetts State Trooper was nearly run over on Monday, Aug. 22, after a fleeing woman drove through a police barricade on I-93 in Norfolk County, authorities said.
