Lowell Money Manager Admits To Stealing $3.5M From Clients, Elderly Couple's Life Savings: Feds A Lowell money manager who police arrested trying to flee the country pleaded guilty to stealing millions of dollars of his client's money, including one elderly couple's entire life savings, federal authorities said. Steven Xigoros, 55, pleaded guilty this week to two counts of wire fraud, one count of aggravated identity theft, and one count of filing a false tax return, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. Central Mass Man On Parole For Child Porn Pleads Guilty To More Child Porn Charges: Feds A 37-year-old Auburn man convicted of receiving child porn in 2016 pleaded guilty this week to having child porn, federal authorities said. He now faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison when a judge sentences him in March. Christopher Rondeau was out on parole in November 2020 when officers found a cell phone with images and videos of child pornography during a search of his house, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. A judge sentenced Rondeau to more than five years in prison in 2016, but he received supervised release in 2019, federal authorities said.

52-Year-Old Methuen Man Hit, Critically Injured Running Across I-495 In Tewksbury Responders rushed a 52-year-old Methuen man to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a car while running across I-495 in Tewksbury Wednesday night, Massachusetts State Police said. A 21-yar-old Lawrence woman said she was driving his Toyota northbound on the interstate near the Route 133 ramp when the man ran out of the woods and into the roadway, authorities said. Responders also took the driver to the hospital for evaluation. Police are still investigating the crash and why the man ran onto the busy highway.

California Man Admits To Stealing $1.2M From His Wilmington Employer Over 16 Years Most everyone has swiped something small from work, but one California man admitted to taking $1.2 million from his job at a Wilmington company for16 years. Darrell Pikes, 56, pleaded guilty to mail fraud as a result of the scheme this week in a federal court in Boston, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. Pike worked as a general manager for a company in Ontario, California, a subsidiary of a Wilmington Company. Charlene Casey Sentenced To Year In Jail In Death Of 2-Year-Old Colin McGrath Charlene Casey, the South Boston woman found guilty of negligent motor vehicle homicide in the death of toddler Colin McGrath, was sentenced to a year in prison on Thursday. Though, she will only spend 60 days behind bars as the judge suspended the remainder of the sentence. 66-Year-Old Unlicensed Driver Charged In 3-Car Crash That Sent 2 To Central Mass Hospital: Cops A 66-year-old woman is being blamed for a three-car crash along Grafton Street in Worcester Wednesday that left two people with life-threatening injuries, police said. Lookout For This Man Accused Of Sexual Assault, Robbery In Boston: Police Police are asking for the public's help to find a man they say sexually assaulted someone late last month and robbed another person a week later in south Boston.
