Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

One Killed, Five Hospitalized After Long Island Crash Involving Drunk Driver, Police Say One person was killed and five others were hospitalized after a two-car crash involving a drunk driver overnight on Long Island, police said. It happened just after 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21 in Islip. Driver, Michael Lupo, age 23, of North Babylon, was traveling southbound on the Robert Moses Causeway in a Dodge Charger when it collided with a Ford Focus, causing the Dodge to overturn, according to state police. The Dodge had four passengers. One of them, Allen Boston, age 23, of West Babylon, was taken to a nearby hospital and later died of injuries sustained in the crash, according …

Man Critically Injured In Hit-Run Long Island Crash Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash near a Long Island intersection that left a man critically injured. It happened around 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20 in Mastic. Transito Sanchez, age 54, was walking westward from Mastic Road to Herkimer Street when he was struck by a pickup truck at 4:59 p.m. The vehicle, possibly a dark-colored Dodge Ram pickup truck with four doors, fled southbound on Mastic Road, Suffolk County Police said. Longtime Putnam County resident Dennis Leonard, a 1992 graduate of Lakeland High School in Shrub Oak, was 47 years old.
