Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Police responded at around 6:35 p.m. Friday, March 4, in Ulster County, when a Kingston man called 911 to say he was holding three children hostage at the Rodeway Inn in the Town of Ulster. 27-Year-Old Killed In Two-Vehicle Hempstead Crash Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash on a busy Long Island roadway. It happened just after 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 4 in Hempstead. While heading southwest on Peninsula Boulevard, operating a 2002 Honda motorcycle, a 27-year-old man was involved in the collision with a 2008 Toyota Camry, that was traveling northeast near Madison Avenue, Nassau County Police said.  The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead by a staff physician, according to police. Administrators of the Sayville Union Free School District contacted Suffolk County Police in May 2021 regarding allegations of inappropriate conduct involving a teacher at Sayville Middle School.
