New Map Reveals States Americans Can’t Wait To Move To, Or Get Out Of
A new map is putting America’s moving patterns in sharp focus.
The Tax Foundation analyzed newly released IRS migration data showing where taxpayers moved between 2022 and 2023, using returns filed in calendar years 2022 and 2023.
The data shows continued movement toward the South and Sun Belt, with major gains for states including Texas, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

32-Year-Olds Dead In Early-Morning Double Millville Shooting, Prosecutor Says
Two 32-year-olds were shot and killed in an early-morning shooting in South Jersey, authorities said.
Millville police responded to the area of 815 N. High St. around 3:40 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, following a report of gunshots, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said.
Officers arriving at the scene found two gunshot victims, Ashley Brown, a 32-year-old Millville resident, and Andy Steven Brazil, a 32-year-old Vineland resident, Webb-McRae said. They were pronounced dead at the scene, McRae said.

Jason Arday, the Cambridge professor embroiled in a plagiarism scandal, has been found dead at his home in London, England, according to multiple published reports. He was 41 years old.
Arday's death came one week after he resigned from the University of Cambridge, where he became the youngest Black professor when he was hired as a sociology professor in 2023.

FBI Most Wanted: $150K Reward Offered For Fugitive Accused Of $650M NJ Scheme
The FBI is offering up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a fugitive accused of helping defraud about 2,000 investors out of more than $650 million, including hundreds of victims in New Jersey.
Rey E. Grabato II is wanted on federal securities fraud, wire fraud, conspiracy, and tax-related charges, according to an FBI wanted notice. Grabato and others allegedly carried out the investment scheme between February 2018 and January 2022 through National Realty Investment Advisors LLC, or NRIA, according to the FBI.

Fires Cause $80K In Damage, Sparking Massive Recall Of Popular Minifridges
A popular line of minifridges is being recalled after several overheated and caught fire, officials said.
Cooluli is recalling about 250,000 of its 10-liter and 15-liter minifridges, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday, Aug. 13. An electrical switch in the minifridges can short-circuit, posing fire and burn hazards.
