Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

The incident happened just after 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9 in New Cassel. According to officers, the 34-year-old man was working in the vicinity of 683 Old Country Road. He was transported to an area hospital and was last listed in stable condition.

The protesters were marching for justice for Steven Barrier, a 23-year-old who died due to a medical emergency while in custody last year. The protest began Saturday afternoon, Aug. 8 at Home Depot and proceeded to the Stamford PD headquarters on Bedford Street. Long Island Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash A 50-year-old Long Island man was killed in a single-vehicle crash overnight. It happened around 4:50 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 9 in South Farmingdale.  Gary Yander, of South Farmingdale, was traveling westbound in a 2008 Cadillac on Motor Avenue when he struck multiple fixed objects in the vicinity of Merritts Road, Nassau County Police said. He sustained multiple trauma injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by a Police Medic.  The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
