Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

It happened on Monday, Aug. 17 at about 5:20 p.m. in Inwood. Police were responding for a complaint regarding a violation of social distancing at Yeshiva Ketana of Long Island children’s camp after a call was made by Nicola Pelle, 58, of Inwood, Nassau County Police said. Covid-19: Travelers From More States Added To NY/NJ/CT Quarantine List Travelers from two more states with high positive testing rates for COVID-19 have now been added to the joint quarantine order of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The new states added on Tuesday, Aug. 18 are Alaska and Delaware. No areas have been removed. Tractor-Trailer Crash Causes Heavy Delays On I-84 Stretch This story has been updated. There were heavy delays during the morning commute on a stretch of I-84 after a tractor-trailer crashed off the roadway. The left lane was closed for several hours on the westbound side in Northern Fairfield County at Exit 3 in Danbury at Route 7 south starting around 6 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18. Route 7 was accessible but down to one lane.  Motorists were advised to use caution in the area, the Danbury Fire Department said.

Police Search For Hit-Run Driver After Crash Injures 14-Year-Old Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver following a crash that injured a 14-year-old in the area. It happened on Saturday, Aug. 15 on Connecticut Avenue in Bridgeport. Officers who arrived on the scene found a 14-year-old with various non-life-threatening injuries to his head and torso.  The teen was transported to Bridgeport Hospital.  Detectives are reviewing video and speaking to witnesses. Pedestrian Struck, Killed On I-95 Stretch In Fairfield County A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on a stretch of I-95 in Fairfield County overnight.
