Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

The crash happened around 2:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 25 in Islip. An 18-year-old from Bay Shore was driving a 2004 Honda Pilot eastbound in front of 2455 Union Blvd. when his vehicle left the roadway and struck two pedestrians walking in front of an apartment building, Suffolk County Police said. State Police Cruiser Struck In Fairfield County Crash State police cruisers were struck in separate Christmas Eve Day crashes in Connecticut - one in Fairfield County and the other in Middlesex County. Just after 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24, a Daibeliz Taveras, age 33, from Brooklyn, New York, traveling northbound on I-95 a half-mile south of the Exit 17 off-ramp in Norwalk lost control of her 2018 Dodge Journey and struck another vehicle, before drifting and colliding with the cruiser, state police said. 21-Year-Old Critically Injured In DWI Long Island Crash, Police Say An investigation is underway after a chain-reaction Christmas Eve crash on Long Island involving a drunk driver has left one person critically injured, according to police. The crash happened around 11:35 p.m. Friday, Dec. 24 in Roslyn Heights. That's when Nassau County Police say a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder being operated by a 24-year-old man was traveling southbound on Mineola Boulevard. Woman In Critical Condition After Being Struck By Car Near Long Island Intersection A woman suffered critical injuries after being struck by a car near a Long Island intersection. It happened just before 5:40 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23 in Garden City. The woman, a 77-year-old, was struck on Herricks Road near Rockaway Boulevard, by a 2016 Subaru that was being driven by a 67-year-old woman, Nassau County Police said. Long Island Woman Fatally Stabs Ex-Boyfriend's Mother, Police Say A Long Island woman has been apprehended after police say she stabbed her ex-boyfriend and his mother, who died from injuries sustained in the incident. The incident happened Thursday, Dec. 23 in Deer Park when Shaquela Titley, age 30, first stabbed her ex-boyfriend's mother, 85-year-old Marie Mille, to death at Mille's residence at 169 Smith Street, Suffolk County Police said.
