At 10:36 p.m., police responded to a car crash on the Turnpike in Mansfield Township. A Honda was traveling southbound in an outer lane when it lost directional control and collided with a Tesla traveling southbound in an inner lane, state police said. Support Rises For Victims Of Three-Alarm Morris County Fire Seven people were rescued when a three-alarm fire that engulfed a home on Boonton on Saturday, Dec. 16, firefighters said. At 11:15 p.m., firefighters said they were dispatched to structure fire on the 100 block of Mechanic Street and found four adults, two children and a 7-month-old trapped on the second floor. Naji Jacob, a 74-year-old New Providence resident, was struck and killed by a train near Murray Hill Station in New Providence early Wednesday morning, Dec. 27. At 5:05 a.m., a Gladstone Branch train en route to Hoboken, fatally struck Jacob, NJ Transit officials said. There were no injuries to the people on board the train, NJ Transit said.
