New Canaan's Campbell Named To U.S. Rowing Under-23 Team FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Two rowers from Westport and one from New Canaan were named to the United States team competing in the World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Varese, Italy. Westport’s Elizabeth Youngling and Alexander Perkins were named to the team, along with New Canaan’s Andrew Campbell. Guenter Buetter of Wilton will be a coach on the team. The regatta begins July 23. Youngling, who is entering her senior year at the University of Virginia, will row on the Women’s Eight. Alexis Harrison will ride 50 miles, and Erin Harrison French will ride 25 miles in memory of their cousin, Chris Cook, who died at age 48 in April.
