Officials ID Man, 39, Killed By Train In Red Bank Officials have identified the man struck and killed by an NJ Transit train on Saturday, Sept. 13 in Monmouth County. Anthony DePalma, 39, of Atlantic Highlands, was struck at the Monmouth Street crossing in Red Bank and involved North Jersey Coast Line train 7240, according to an NJ Transit spokesperson. The train left New York Penn Station at 12:07 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive at Long Branch at 1:38 p.m. The crash happened just after 1:30 p.m., Chartier said. Motorcycle Club Mourns Loss Of Rider 'BadKarma' Killed In NJ Turnpike Robbinsville Crash A Pennsylvania-based motorcycle club is mourning the loss of one of its riders who died during a group ride on the NJ Turnpike over the weekend. New Jersey State Police identified the motorcyclist killed in Robbinsville on Saturday, Sept. 14 as Jeff Ford. Sgt. Charles Marchan said that Ford, 42, of Willow Grove, PA, was ejected from his bike in the outer roadway after it overturned in a series of collisions around 3:50 p.m., killing him. Juvenile In Custody For Threats Made Against Hackensack Schools A juvenile is in custody after police say he made online threats of violence against multiple Hackensack schools on Saturday morning, Sept. 14. Police were made aware of the threats around 7:35 a.m. by school officials, Hackensack PD Capt. Michael Antista said. Video Shows Arrest Of DUI Driver Who Rammed Luxury Car Into NJ Utility Pole, Fled Newly released bodycam footage shows a July 2024 arrest of a DUI driver with a history of traffic offenses who fled the scene of a crash in Monmouth County. Transparency Bodycam published footage of the crash on July 22, involving a white 2017 Mercedes GLE that had struck a pole on Mitchell Place near Oakes Road in Little Silver. Prius Crashes Through Fence Behind Japanese Ridgewood Restaurant Firefighters were called to Ridgewood on Friday evening, Sept. 13 where a black Toyota Prius crashed through a chain link fence, over a retaining wall, and into the back of a restaurant, according to incident reporter Boyd A. Loving. No injuries were reported in the incident, which left little to no damage to the building itself, Loving said. NJ Man Accused Of Having Sexual Relationships With 2 Former Students In WV: Sheriff A 50-year-old New Jersey man was arrested on accusations he had a sexual relationship with two students while working as a substitute teacher in West Virginia more than 20 years ago.
