Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Oh, Deer: Hudson Valley Case Of Deadly Virus Is NY's First Of 2022 The first 2022 case of an often-fatal disease of deer has been confirmed in New York. A white-tailed deer in Dutchess County, in the hamlet of Dover Plains, died after contracting Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD), the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has just announced. The disease is not spread directly from deer to deer and humans cannot be infected by deer or bites from midges, small bugs often called "no-see-ums," who spread the virrus. 39-Year-Old Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash At Hudson Valley Intersection One person was killed in a three-vehicle crash at a busy intersection in the Hudson Valley. The Orange County incident happened Friday, Aug. 19 in the Town of Crawford. A 1995 Chevy van operated by Shawn Dehann, age 33, was traveling eastbound on Route 17K when he entered the intersection with Route 302, Crawford Police said. A 2005 Chevy Equinox operated by Samantha Meyer, age 42, of Pine Bush was traveling southbound on Route 302 and collided with the van at the intersection, according to police. Person Dies After Being Pulled From Reynolds Channel In Long Beach A person died after being pulled from the water and brought to shore on Long Island. A passerby in Long Beach observed a male in the Reynolds Channel at around 1:05 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, according to Nassau County Police. The Long Beach Police Department, Long Beach Fire Department and Nassau County Marine Bureau responded and located the victim and brought him to shore, said police. Child Fatally Struck In Driveway Of NY Home Police are investigating a crash that fatally injured a child in the driveway of his home in New Yorrk. It happened on Long Island just after 11:35 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20 in Huntington Station. Coli Outbreak Sickening Dozens May Be Linked To Wendy's In 4 States, CDC Says An E. coli outbreak in four states that may be linked to Wendy's has sickened at least 37 people and put 10 in the hospital, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Man Accused Of Exposing Himself To 3 Children At Elmont Store A man has been accused of exposing himself to three children at a Long Island store. At around 1:20 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, officers responded to Savers Thrift Store in Elmont, located at 188 Hempstead Turnpike, for a man exposing himself in front of three victims, ages 13, 14, and 16, Nassau County Police said. Overnight Homicide Near Hudson Valley Intersection Under Investigation An investigation is underway after an overnight homicide that occurred near an intersection in the Hudson Valley. Woman Dies After Being Pulled From Lake In Hudson Valley A woman died after being pulled from a lake in the Hudson Valley, according to authorities. At about 4:50 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18 authorities in Ulster County were dispatched to Williams Lake, in the Town of Rosendale for a water emergency.
