Body Pulled From Hudson River After Woman Jumps From Bear Mountain Bridge A woman believed to have jumped from the Bear Mountain Bridge early in the morning was found dead in the Hudson River following a multi-agency search, police confirmed. Decorated NYC Firefighter Killed In Hit-Run Motorcycle Crash A decorated FDNY firefighter was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Manhattan. Matthew Goicochea, 31, was riding his motorcycle on the FDR Drive around 3:45 a.m. Thursday, July 25 when he collided with another vehicle and fell onto the roadway, according to police. A second vehicle then struck him before fleeing the scene. Goicochea was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No arrests had been made as of Thursday evening. CT Driver Killed After Crashing Into Large Stones In I-84 Median A 39-year-old Connecticut man was killed after he lost control of his car on I-84 and crashed into a large pile of rocks in the median. Jeffrey Lepage, of Plantsville, was driving in the left lane on the highway near Benson Road in Middlebury when he lost control of his Subaru around 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, Connecticut State Police said.
